Page Macrae designed a diesel grab and then called on Index Engineering to assist with calculations and an FEA, followed by the detail design. This was an interesting job due to it being dynamic equipment, with changing stress loads on different components.
Pierre converted information from Autodesk Inventor to Solidworks to complete the FEA and then converted the detail design drawings back to Inventor.
